Customer service in Greece is outstanding, it does not matter which island you visit you will find great customer service. We have visited several Greek Islands but we chose to move to Kefalonia after just one holiday. My friend had recommended Kefalonia for a holiday as they had been holidaying there for several years. I however, had never heard of Kefalonia, I had visited Crete, Rhodes and Corfu. When we visited for the first time it was early in the season and very quiet. At first we thought Kefalonia was not for us , it was very quiet and we was staying near the airport. We was in fact so close to the airport that we felt we could reach up and touch the planes coming into land. We returned home. We returned to Kefalonia that same year in August with a team from A Place in the Sun with the view of finding a property that we could make into a business.

We had a great time filming for the show and we did find a property but sadly it fell through. We returned to Kefalonia around four times that year and eventually found a property and moved to Greece. The great customer service started from several estate agents who could not do enough to help us and advise us on our journey. In the time we spent visiting the island we found the great customer service existed all over the island. What amazed us was that people remembered us and asked how we was getting on with our property search.

We now live in Kefalonia and have done so for three years. We love living here, we feel safe and welcomed here by the local people. The customer service here is genuine and not just because they are being paid to be polite. An example of this is when we recently had a problem with our car and the battery was dead. We did not have any jump leads and our only option was to walk to the local petrol garage to see if we could buy a charger. When we explained the the staff at the garage they told us to get in to their car and they took us back to the villa and they charged our battery. They did not take any money . Where else would you find this kind of service! It does not matter where we go, the Greek people are always helpful and on hand to give advise. I could give many examples of their customer service but why not come and see for yourself.
