The villa is located in Agia Irni, the village is situated in an inland valley, at about 90 m elevation with surrounding mountain views. Guest’s have all commented on how peaceful the location is, which serves you for a relaxing break. If you are staying with us, we recommend you hire a car to explore the sites of Kefalonia and it’s beautiful beaches.
The villa is situated off the main road which runs through the village which is where you will find a small cheese shop and supermarket. The shop keeper speaks very good English and apparently he has is the best cheese maker on the island. You will also experience the bread man in a yellow van who visits the village a couple of times a week, he will drive past the villa and you will hear him as he toots his horn and he serves extremely tasty rolls.
Just 5km away is the town of Poros, which has a picturesque port. It’s crystal blue sea makes this village one of the most perfect summer destinations. Poros has become a famous tourist resort in Kefalonia welcoming a great number of tourists and Greek travellers during the summer. It has plenty of restaurants and traditional taverns & cafes that line the waterfront and offer picturesque views. Our recommendation is Zanza Bar situated in Poros, which is on waterfront, is a relaxed & welcoming bar which serves lovely cocktails. Our guests have also enjoyed a visit to Remetzo cave bar, which has breathtaking views of the calm waters of Poros.
With a car, Richmond villa makes for the perfect location to explore the island of Kefalonia and everything it has to offer.
